Can some one please explain to me what is included under others regions? is it europe + rest of world excluding NA and JAP?

 

I am just wondering as microsoft indicates that the have sold over 9 Million units in Eurpoe. The VGchartz fron page showing 12+ million. Just trying to understand  others vs euorpe. Link to article about Xbox sales is below:

Others includes a lot of regions outside of Europe, but are usually included in VGC numbers, while being excluded from press releases, such as Microsofts.

'Others' include:

Asiatic Region (India, China, South Korea, ect)
Africa (Sometimes - such as the middle east region and South Africa)
South America
Australia/NZ - Sometimes. Sometimes it's included and excluded from PAL reports.

All in all, it represents about 3-4 million hardware units for the Wii and 360. It's just a lot of smaller regions that have no formal tracking service. For the Xbox 360, there is some data via Gamercards (which has maybe 10-15 nations outside of formal countries in Europe, NA and America).
