Forums - Sales - The Sales Battle: Forza 3 Vs. Gran Turismo [First Weak, Month, and LTD]

Forza 3 is publicized as the definitive racing game of this generation by Microsoft, that clearly means Microsoft takes the racing genre more seriously this time around. The marketing for this game will most likely be huge as MS is trying to fight directly with the leader of racing genre.

And then we have Gran Tursimo, the most successful and recognisable racing game on consoles, now heading to a handheld platform. To some extent, a full-fledged Gran Tursimo game on a handheld can be considered as a gamble, mainly because the IP is not as recognisable as it is on consoles.

Prediction time, which game do you guys think will sell better overall, GT or Forza 3?

Forza 3 Release Date: October 20, 2009  (Europe) - October 27, 2009 (NA)

Gran Turismo Release Date:  October 1, 2009 (NA, and EU)

I seriously should give Forza 2 another chance i don't like the driving system in it. I know i rather get Forza 3 over GT psp. I think that Forza 3 will hit 2.5 million without bundling or 4 million with bundling. I think GT psp could easily hit over i millioon and 3 million lifetime.

Yes, the game will be released on both UMD and PSN, just like every other major release after the launch of PSP go.

@OkeyDokey,

I think you really are underestimating the sales numbers for both GT and Forza 3. :/
