You need to look into one of quaterly or annual reports from MS,Sony on Nintendo then you see that according to VGC there's like 500k X360 on store shelves while PS3 has 1M+ and you know something is wrong :D
And you can compare to NPD or other tracking companies numbers when they are released from time to time.
