Forums - Sales - PS3 Wins?!

Remember that huge adjustment a few months back, where the 360 got adjusted up 600k and PS3 down 200k or whatever? It made the gap go from 8m to 9.3-9.5 somewhere over the following months. Now however, the PS3 has closed the gap back to 8m. It has sold 1.5m more than the 360 somehow, or just had a major adjustment!? Where did that come from?

I think VGC undertracks PS3 on purpose to bait people to creat PS3 is doomed, or domed, threads. To keep the activity on this site alive. And then when things start to slow down again, they go and do this. Clever little rascals running this site ;D

@Aion - That last part was ment as a joke, obviously. I know VGC dont play the game like that.

back then the gap was 8,5 mil and not 9 or 9.5

There are several adjustment threads going on that explain this phenomena so I think it's safe to say the PS3 did not sell 1.5 million since last week.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

Nope. The PS3 is still losing...

Tease.

lol cospiracy theory.

i think we just didn't have the number right.

360 was overtracked (by alot) even if shipment was telling us just exactly that a while ago.

anyway only shipment matters in the end, but also those numbers can't be used as they are released.

because likely not going to be accurate until the end of life of the product.
for revenue and people who have stock, Shipped = SOLD. so if there is any profit they get their cents.
so weekly sales only are useful to compare demographics and sales between games.
the thing it's they are not accurate so we can only get a general idea.

right now, the 360 it's being HIGHLY overtracked, by almost 1m or a little less...while the ps3 it's being HIGHLY undertracked, by almost 1m or a little less...

I'm Back! - Proud owner of the best doomed handheld of all time!

It was an adjustment in the numbers.
