It's got a lot to do with currency fluctuations. The pound died earlier in the year, and that meant that the pound could buy fewer dollars relatively than the Euro when compared to earlier estimations. Essentially, the UK looks worse on those boards than what the reality is.

Exactly, socialism seems to be a dirty word to the US right, they only believe in extreme capitalism. I agree capitalism is a good system, but being exclusive to one is foolish. They are just stubborn for the sake of being stubborn, it's annoying me too.

This doesn't prove that socialism is beneficial, it just proves that France and Germany were geared to exit the recession earlier than some other nations. Great for them, but it isn't proof of anything.
