Go Back to what Made RE4 one of the best games of all time. Same type of gameplay this time maybe with the ability to move while shooting. BUT THIS TIME ALONE. or if your going to do a co-op type system, do it with characters people care about. I swear RE5 should have been Chris and Jill co-op or even Claire and Chris or Claire and Leon or Ada and Leon or Leon and Chris. RE6 should be about Leon during RE5's timeline IMO

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

Here's what I'd like. I want an open world Raccoon City circa Resident Evil 2, which means the city is blockaded by police to give it a natural cut off point. There can be different blockades that get broken down by zombies later on to allow you access to more areas of the game. The game will take a more natural approach to a city infested with zombies, so there will be people in the game AI controlled in single player, or player controlled in co-op that you can join up with, or you can go it solo, your choice.

Now Resident Evil has never been very good at the horror aspect. It was good for it's time, but the earlier games today are no more scarier than the newest one is. Within three years, Silent Hill had shown up every Resident Evil in existence in the horror aspect. To fix this, the new game applies a few new tricks. Every building you can go in does not load. There is no loading during the opening of doors. All window can be shattered like in RE4. The scare tactics in the game will be random. One person can get a scare in a long hallway at the police station with crows flying through the window and another person can simply walk through and nothing happens. Enemy locations and numbers will also be more randomized. You will use a flashlight and employ the RE5 cave trick of complete blackness sometimes.

There will be many more opportunities to hole up in a building and have the Night of the Livind Dead/RE4 house scenario where you have to defend an onslaught of zombies trying to invade a building.

As far as the storyline goes, basically re-do it. Let people have different characters each with their own goals, and you can assist someone with theirs and they can assist with yours. Let's say you have Jill Valentine and her goal is to escape Raccoon City and you meet up with Leon Kennedy, who's goal is to find Claire Redfield. You two can join up and now have two different scenarios. If you bore of tagging up, you can branch off and choose either character, no matter which one you started with. Allow a total of four playable characters in the game, each with their own story. Maybe Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy, and Claire Redfield. Actually maybe some real different types of characters, like Albert Wesker, Barry Burton, Chief Irons and Annette Birkin.

You guys act like there was nothing but zombies in the first four Resident Evils.

Did you guys forget Lickers, or the plant monsters, or the giant snakes? The T-Virus has been making enemies out of animals and other things for a long time.

^ that would make a RE fan @ Onyxmeth

I really like Resident Evil 5. I just played this co-op mode where you just have to kill as much enemies as possible on splitscreen and we had hours of fun.

On the other hand, I also loved the old RE games, especially Code Veronica. So I am looking forward to Resident Evil, no matter how the gameplay will be. Lucky me.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Ha hey come on, she would just run into danger rather than avoiding it

I loved, loved, loved RE5. I played through it seven times! I just wish it was single player and with some jump-worthy moments. I want to see 0 - 3 and Code Veronica remade with the RE5 engine. Limit the ammo, make the zombies tough as old leather to kill, etc. My dream games right there. Then make RE6 in the same vein, with Leon, I'll be happy.

I think RE6 should feature the return of the main character in RE4.

TO GOD BE THE GLORY

The thing that sucks is we won't see another Resident Evil game until next gen or so.
