"New report shows violent militia groups are spreading rapidly in the US"

"According to a report from the AP from ATF sources, well-armed violent militias are growing rapidly in the US, mainly in the southeast, midwest and northwest, fueled by economic and insane Obama paranoia in the far right wing about how the president is going to "take our guns", "kill our old people" and enslave white people."

"How wacky are the aforementioned conspiracy theories taking root in America's heartland? One such theory claims that Mexico is plotting to invade the country to reclaim the American Southwest as its own territory. And then of course there's the usual one about how our black/Nazi/Muslim/Kenyan president wants to mobilize an army of gay "Obamacare" warriors to euthanize the elderly, the young and the infirm, after the aforementioned gay warriors have sodomized them, their pets and their children, of course, among other things.

"The AP report cites an ATF official named Bart McEntire who says that he believes it's "only a matter of time" before we see another Timothy McVeigh-like act of domestic terrorism, something that doesn't seem all that far-fetched in light of recent events.

There is a lot of hate and clashing ideologies brewing in the US right now between those I would call the  forward thinking and the backward thinking and the haves and the have nots.  All the hate over healthcare is just a symptom of it.  Do you think the US could be headed for Civil War?

I don't think a civil war will happen. The governours and senators are smart enough people. Domestic terrorism will be a bigger problem though

No, you are oversimplifying the healthcare debate on the side of those that do not want our government to take over and fumble something else.

The government has too much power, no matter how much these people want to fight, they'll only succeed in hurting innocent people rather than actually making a change in how the government works. These people need to go back to school and realize if you educate yourself, you can make alot more changes on the inside than on the outside.

How ironic it would be with US constantly talking about keeping peace in the world if a civil war broke out.

No, what will most likely happen, is this healthcare thing will pass, everyone will get kicked out of washington next election, and the people put in there place will remove it. It's happened many times in the past.

It's can't succeed. We have no money to pay for it.

There would be plenty of money if the defense budget were to be lowered.
