Forums - Sales - Dynasty Warriors 6 and White PS3 bundle in Japan.

October 9, 2007 - The Japanese version of the 40 Gigabyte PS3 was only announced yesterday, but it already has its first software bundle. Koei has announced plans for the Shin Sangoku Musou 5 with PlayStation 3 package. This bundle includes a copy of Dynasty Warriors 6, a Ceramic White PS3, nine metal character plates, and four clear files, all for the price of 49,980 yen. That's about $80 more than the standard 40 Gig retail price of 39,980 yen. Presumably, the extra cash above the game's price is for those little Musou-related goodies. The PS3 bundle hits Japan day in with the game's release, on 11/11. Those already with the hardware will be able to pick up Dynasty Warriors 6 for both 360 and PS3 for 7560 yen, or as part of the limited edition Treasure Box for 13440 yen.http://ps3.ign.com/articles/826/826128p1.html Why would they make it cost more money? That doesn't make any sense.

i'll like to see the response.

well it seems that it's the limited edition bundled with the 40 gig system. The limited edition bundle alone costs 13440 yen. I doubt the limited edition is worth that much money though, seems like they are trying to rip off people to me.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

Because people totally want a Guan Yu Metal Plate. (He's gotta be in there.)

...Because its white?

Maybe Japanese consumers will buy it if it looks like a Wii :)

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

They are trying everything they can to gain the market back. But I don't think its going to happen because the Wii domination just started and will contiune with the exclusivity of Monster Hunter 3 on the Wii.

I see this bundle helping sells a little but nothing to get excited about.

Atleast they're trying. It's not going to happen, but they are trying.
