Forums - Sony - Monster Hunter 3 PS3 gone from Capcom site

I don't think I've actually ever heard any PS3 owners ever mention Monster Hunter 3, I wonder how long it would have taken them to notice. Was this game on anyone's radar? Still though a pretty big loss, the game is big in Japan isn't it?

 Mh was a console after thought, then it did great on PSP.

Well, Monster Hunter 2 moved over 500k on PS2; that's a pretty strong showing for Japan.

Wow... its not possible that it became exclusive to Wii is it?
After reading through Capcoms press release on their Japanese site, yeah it looks like it's exclusive.

 You mean PSP =/.

No, I mean PS2. The PSP series is called Monster Hunter Freedom, and both titles have sold in excess of 1 million units.

I dont think it wont appear in PS3 ,it has been in development for quite some time now .

This is very strange ....MH is specially big in Sony consoles (specially the PSP ) I dont see them not seeing the title .

X_X Their were Monster Hunter games on PS2? What the hell. Were they released in Europe?

I only know Monster Rancher.

It's just like Dragon Quest IX... they're moving it to where the greatest potential for sales currently lies. Not that strange, really...

Even if it wasn't exclusive to the Wii, the acquisition of the game itself is huge news for the Japanese market. However, I don't know why they would take it off the list if it wasn't exclusive to the Wii. Also under the systems list in the game description it only says "Wii" now.

@konnichiwa:

There were three, actually: Monster Hunter, Monster Hunter 2, and Monster Hunter G. Only the first was released in North America (thus far), and according to GameFAQS, was also released in Europe on 05/27/05.
