Forums - Website Topics - Are we ever going to fix this site to work with Internet Explorer?

Working finr for me too, with IE8 and XP.

"Now, a fun game should always be easy to understand - you should be able to take one look at it and know what you have to do straight away. It should be so well constructed that you can tell at a glance what your goal is and, even if you don’t succeed, you’ll blame yourself rather than the game. Moreover, the people standing around watching the game have also got to be able to enjoy it." - Shiggy

If the site isn't working well for IE users then thats a huge problem. Simply saying "upgrade to firefox" isn't an option as its the market leader and thus you'll lose a huge audience if it doesn't work well on IE. Plus expecting people to use something different for one site is pretty inconvenient.

I use Safari 4 at the moment for browsing the internet and the only issue i have with the site (after turing off being able to see sig's as the gif's in them were killing my browser, damn you all lol) is that some areas of the site do not resize the font (for example comments in game pages) so part of the text goes across past the side and cannot be seen!

IE is probably the worst browser i have ever come across... MS just shouldn't bother at all!

IE8 + Windows vista = flawless VG chartz browsing.

Using the "compatibility view" feature rocks. I may as well delete FF off my machine after upgrading to IE8 and Vista.

People need to upgrade to latest browsters/OS systems to get best service...

IE8 on Windows 7 is even better again, quite substantially too

I have only had two tabs crash on me since installing the RTM version 2 weeks ago and they both recovered themselves instantly. Both times was when I was trying to open about 20 tabs in one go too so was probably my fault anyway.

Never argue with idiots
They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience

I cannot wait to try out Windows 7! I need to by another notebook PC and replace the one I'm currently using!

Good to know...I'd upgrade but I have zero issues with Vista and it already does more than I need. I'll prolly install it just to try it since ima nerd...

I (like about half of the replies in this thread) am using IE8 with no issues at all.

Maybe if people were a little more specific and descriptive about these problems then we can fix them - I'm seeing nothing my end.

I'm really not a computer wiz but yes, there is problems with IE. It's not a big problem for the users ioi because we will find a way to solve this issue as we frequent the website regularly. But what about new people visiting the site that use IE? ( and I'm sure thats the majority ) Their first impression of this site is not going to be a good one. I am not trying to be negative at all, I love this website and I really want it to grow more, and I think this problem should be lookd into. You may not be expierncing it but it gets really bad when I'm on campus computers.

I'm using the newest Fire Fox with an Ad Blocker. I don't get those extremely annoying ads on this site anymore, and no more problems with the window crashes.

Using IE6 on Windows XP. (on work ...) Works fine beside the menu. Lukily there are links on the bottom, so the menu isn't needed.

Stop using Internet Explorer 6!

I'm using IE8+XP and I also had some issues, but sine I use the "compatibility view" (as disolute said) it works fine.

@ioi. My main issues where two.

1-The ¿title? with the vgchartz logo and the search options appeared twice, always.
2-I couldn't open Tabs with "right click+open on new tag", but I could with the wheel button.

Please excuse my bad English.
