Sorry, I meant 1st month and US (NPD) only, I worded it wrong. It's outsold all them and Persona added too.

This was a relatively good week for the PSP, the DS only increased it's overall lead by ~30k, instead of the 200k it did with last week's data. The PSP top 5 had Persona 3 enter the charts, whereas the DS top 5 remains the same with the only movement being the 4 and 5 games switching places. The DS Final Fantasy game in Japan just missed making the top 5 and will probably be in next week. So what do you think, about this weeks numbers? Do either platforms have a significant release for next weeks data?
Pro evo 10 stands a chance of getting on the psp's list.
edit: actually it definitly should get on the list.
Don't get those threads...isn't that just a kind of infinite fight between our likes and dislikes??I know the DS will Stay on top but psp "big fans" won't agree...and blah blah blah...
There is no end to this...
Gintoki, I'm not sure what you mean. The end of this will be January 1st, and we will be able to see which console's top 5 games sold the most. Although, it will likely become obvious which system will win long before then.

oh yeah?Next will be "Could the PSP's games outsell the DS at summer?"No?

Like it says in the original post, I thought it was a possibility based on the number of games from big franchises the PSP is getting, whereas the DS isn't getting that many big games. So again obviously total DS software sales will destroy PSPs (based on sales of older titles), but it is entirely reasonable that with a number of big releases the PSP could win a contest like this. Also, if I was just going to pick arbitrary times like summer, I might as well have picked the first 3 weeks of October, when the PSP was actually winning so it is not as outlandish as you seem to think. Just look at the console thread, where despite having a huge market share advantage the Wii is losing badly to both consoles, and is not likely to catch up with the huge debut of Modern Warfare 2.
So it's losing badly on the overall games sales, but could win on a very small subset of games. That's what you call winning the battle, but losing the war.
Anyone can guess. It takes no effort to throw out lots of predictions and have some of them be correct. You are not and wiser or better for having your guesses be right. Even a blind man can hit the bullseye.
I didn't get around to updating the chart last week, so this week has two weeks worth of updates. It looks like the DS has this competition on cruise control, gaining about 100k each of the last few weeks. With Jak and Daxter joining GTA: China Town Wars as under performing on the PSP, it will be up to games like LittleBigPlanet, Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines or maybe Teken 6 to keep PSP close to the DS.
