Anyone considered the possibility that *gasp* the PS3 slim is just a myth?

Myth no Hoax yes. Perpetrated perhaps by a group like Anonymous. Hold it not saying they did it just perhaps a group like them. Perhaps by a corporate entity engaging in sabotage. I wouldn't say that I am seriously considering it, but it is in the back of my mind. What really leaves me befuddled is the lack of a adamant denial out of Sony. They have no compunctions about lying. Have they just gotten their knuckles smacked enough that they will not say anything, or are they learning not to lie.

That is the part of Sony having next to no credibility that pisses me off. You can't read jack shit into what they say, or what they are not saying. Any other manufacturer, and I would feel kind of secure in my evaluation.

Because America thinks the PS3 has no games and they wanna take care of that first?

Because Sony threw in the towel in North America. Thats just a guess.

Instead of a slim America is actually getting a PS3 that's twice the size.

Well, THERE YOU GO. That's why there are the supposedly leaks from retailers, because some fans are making fan-based flyers and dubbing them as retailers because they believe that Sony will announce a slim at the European gaming conference. That right there creates hype.

Maybe Sony can't release in USA right away so US retailers just haven't been informed so there's nothing to leak. Or maybe US retailers just better at keeping secrets.

Maybe there still trying to confirm a price range for NA or maybe there gonna put all there focus on the PSP Go in America because Europe hasn't any PSN pre-paid card's yet, the video store still isn't here and a lot of the good PS1 classics havn't been released on the european store. So theres not much pushing power behind the PSP Go here in Europe so maybe SCEA are gonna focus on the PSP Go this christmas and just lower prices on there current models.
