All I want is a chainsaw as a reward for getting to 1000g in Gears of War 2, and hopefully it becomes mandatory, Mass Effect had an in game achievement reward system which was great, and I hope more games do this, though I don't get the point of avatars

What are you talking about?  For one thing, the graphical quality of avatars is vastly higher than Miis.  Secondly, avatars are free, and there is a gigantic selection of free clothes.  The only stuff that costs any money is the new avatar marketplace clothing, which is clearly totally optional.

Yes the 360's Avatar does look better then the "Mii" or whatever its called by a good amount, but given there art-styles its not but a "VAST" amount, thats just over-the-top.
