Forums - Nintendo - No More Heroes 2: Revenge of Destroyman!

My second-favourite boss of the original game is returning for a rematch! New details on NMH2 released on gonintendo:

http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=92561

- Travis' Schpeletiger (motorcycle) is now twice as long, and features better controls
- the dev team includes the original No More Heroes team, as well as newcomers for the sequel
- the schoolgirl assassin from the trailer is Kimmy, and she wants Travis all to herself
- each fight ends with a 2d Travis walking across the screen to hop onto the Schpeletiger, which is accompanied by a new old-school chiptune
- Suda thought about Travis using other weapons in the game, but decided against it
- Bishop should play a larger role in this game
- Travis left Santa Destroy for 3 years, and when he comes back he sees just how much the city has changed
- a small portion of the original Santa Destroy will still be playable, but there will be many new locations
- fights will take place in a "new school", "construction yard", and a graveyard, as well as many more locations
- improved and new side jobs, including a return of coconut collecting
- one new side job involves being a plumber
- Destroyman returns as a cyborg
- collecting cash to fight bosses will not become boring or repetitive, says Suda. The addition of two other playable characters, and some boss fights that feature more than one boss should keep things moving along

"The worst part about these reviews is they are [subjective]--and their scores often depend on how drunk you got the media at a Street Fighter event."  — Mona Hamilton, Capcom Senior VP of Marketing

Great I see Kimmy going Psycho just like Sylvia did near the end...I fear for Travis's Joystick again..

Former something....

my god, I'm excited for this game.

Excellent.

wasn't he cut in half? suda is a big fan of stars swars so i guess "darth man" or "destroy darth" is what his name is going to be.

Sweet. Can't get enough nipple machine guns and penis lasers. I wonder how they made him into a cyborg, I mean after his death...I mean seems like he would need a lot of stitches rather than a machine wang or something.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

It's hard to get excited after the first game. I hope these improvements he's talking about are really good.

This game sounds like its gonna be awesome. Repetition and Overworld were a problem with the first one, that seem to have been addressed.

The most important thing for me is that the regular gameplay be fun this time. The goons and the mini games felt like a chore to get to the bosses in the original (which did make the effort worthwhile), but I don't want to have to be so patient this time around!

If it really is Wii M+. then fighting the goons should be awesome regardless (as even fighting Mii's in "Showdown" is incredible fun).

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

^^ it think they said there wouldn't be WM+ support.

But I'm totally excited for the game anyway, not a huge need for WM+, i just want to play again as travis who was one the best main game characters i've seen, i like his style, attitude, he likes anime and he has a frekin laser sword!

the bosses sound as good as ever, and the overworld sounds much improved. yay for NMH! :)

too bad it's not gonna be on Wii anymore :(
