i think ff13 will cause of it being multiplatform, but i firmly believe dragon quest x will destroy it in japan though.

Well in Japan DQ X but in America FF XIII.

Yeah DQX will win Japan by a very large gap. Final Fantasy XIII will win worldwide, the distance might not be that far though. It depends on how well DQIX does in the West, and how much the Dragon Quest series expands over here. I believe the tweaks to IX's game play were there to make the game more mainstream for Western users.

Final Fantasy XIII will sell more worldwide and more LTD. But Dragon Quest X will do good as well.

I think it is funny both products are made by Square Soft, but one is XBOX 360/PS3 and the other is Wii. Who is going to win?

Square Soft is the winner. Why only target one group of consoles, when Square Soft can target everybody?

Except now they are Square-Enix. Why do people still call them SquareSoft?  Square-Enix =/= SquareSoft. This isn't only in terms of who is in each company, but things like what difficulties the companies face(such as heavy competition and fear of going bankrupt). Oh and usually I would be fine enough to not reply about somebody posting SquareSoft, except Dragon Quest was never a SquareSoft ip, it was an Enix one.

I am old and I still call it Squaresoft or Square Soft, which was the orginal company.  I also still call it "Dragon Warrior".  If you do not like it, tough.
