Forums - Microsoft - How many Xbox360s did you have to replace?

I have a question for all the Xbox360 users. In the last 3 years how many times have you gotten the RROD (I.e. how many consoles did you have to send back to MS). This is not a biased question, I'm just curious since the media has posted a failure rate of 30%, and because I loved the original Xbox but unsure about investing in the Xbo360.

Also what is the average length of time you  play for per day/week or whatever, just to see if there is a positive correlation between play time and failure rate.

Cheers,

Well, the first one I had lasted a bit over a year before RRoDing. This was the original very crappy revision too. I played for like 4-5 hours a day back then. After I sent it in and got it repaired, it has been fine ever since. No more RRoD, no freezing, no nothing. So it's easily been about 2 years since they repaired it, and I even left the thing on for like 3 days straight when I was racking up Fable 2 gold and it keeps on going.

So for me, with probably average gamer usage of 3 hours a day, just one RRoD on the original model. The new Jaspers I have yet to hear of any RRoDing or getting any errors at all.

One E74/RROD, a little over a year ago. MS sent me a Falcon, which runs so much cooler. I play pretty much every day, probably 10+ hours a week.

One RRoD, November 2008

Now Playing: Crysis 2

Last Finished: BulletStorm

Online IDs: PSN: computermaximus, XBL: computermaximus

174 108 with RROD 29 E74 and the rest were various others

But war... war never changes
