Sony has announced how the PSP is going to be smaller and lighter, but are they making the product cheaper as well? Any news on this?
There is nothing like Sony's announcement. Some rumour only. Nothing official. To be honest I can't imagine smaller PSP at all. It's just screen and some space around buttons. Hmm, maybe they want to make it slimer. I don't know. Anyway smaller version would be cheaper to produce for sure.
A revised PSP, cheaper, with a faster drive for slower loading times, plus buttons that aren't screwed up because they place them in a stupid position would go a long way toward me considering a PSP purchase. That and the Dracula X remake.

Well....common sense tells me that they could make a cheaper system, and that they would have to in order to be serious competition. I doubt that they would make all of these changes just for a easier to handle porta-game.
