Sorry but this games on demand looks like ripoff in terms of pricing, every game on that list costs no more than £15 in Game/Gamestation. I love the 360 but this really is expensive!

Isn't Platinum Hits titles usually go for $20 dollars?

Anyway a caseless, bookless (owners manual) and no need for shipping and handling version of a game shouldn't it be cheaper?

They are $20 or $30. Prices should be the same, remember you always own the game, if you break or lose a disk you're out of luck. Microsoft also has to keep their retailers happy and I'm not sure how much influence the publishers of those games have over the price.

Ya, tru but, the bad thing about it On Demand games will not have any resale value..

That's why I said they ( Games On Demand ) should be cheaper than those at retail ..

Games at retail stores you get a case to keep it safe, a book manual, and a disc that still holds a value if you ever wanted to trade it with a friend for another good game or an exchange for cash ..

I mean I see the convinience of On Demand Games for some (saves a trip to the store, start and play but you can do the same with a disc too by installing the game to the HDD), but there is no other advantage.

Ya, Microsoft should keep retailers happy but what about us consumers.

Microsoft should give us a break also, we as comsumers are supporting Microsoft by buying stuff off them ..

By selling games through DL is on Microsoft advantage, they save money on S&H on plastic case material, disc, paper, printing ..

All that cuts down the cost that's added to a retail copy.

There's advantages and disadvantages to both, but they should both be the same price. If you want some more advantages for digital downloads; you always own the game and don't risk disc damage or stolen discs, no tax, no shipping, no wasting time looking around for the game, more storage space, less stuff to dust off, game manuals available online, environmentally friendly, don't have to get up to swap discs, might force competitors to lower prices, makes developers happier (more money), ect...

In response to the highlight ...thats a good point.

My Trigger Happy Sixaxis controller

GoD will be great for all those games that you can't get in retail anymore. i hope for PGR4, Kameo and Dead or Alive 4 cause i can't find those games in any shop in my country either retail like MediaMarkt , Saturn or online.

What the hell?!

I just bought one for $20 recently for the PS3, why is the 360 version still $10 more expensive?

I bought Bioshock for $5 on Steam.

Same here.

So, Games on Demand is the microsoft full game download service for the 360, right?

This is invisible text!

That service is fail, like all digital distribution. I'll take a box and disc every time.
