Anyway a caseless, bookless (owners manual) and no need for shipping and handling version of a game shouldn't it be cheaper? |
They are $20 or $30. Prices should be the same, remember you always own the game, if you break or lose a disk you're out of luck. Microsoft also has to keep their retailers happy and I'm not sure how much influence the publishers of those games have over the price. |
Ya, tru but, the bad thing about it On Demand games will not have any resale value..
That's why I said they ( Games On Demand ) should be cheaper than those at retail ..
Games at retail stores you get a case to keep it safe, a book manual, and a disc that still holds a value if you ever wanted to trade it with a friend for another good game or an exchange for cash ..
I mean I see the convinience of On Demand Games for some (saves a trip to the store, start and play but you can do the same with a disc too by installing the game to the HDD), but there is no other advantage.
Ya, Microsoft should keep retailers happy but what about us consumers.
Microsoft should give us a break also, we as comsumers are supporting Microsoft by buying stuff off them ..
By selling games through DL is on Microsoft advantage, they save money on S&H on plastic case material, disc, paper, printing ..
All that cuts down the cost that's added to a retail copy.
