what matters is the Arcade sku = entry price
Elite is more or less similar to Pro ... at the end, it is still good for people wanting a 360 !

LOL... the 360 vs Ps3 isn't just Elite vs the 80 gigger. The reason it did well against the Ps3 is because of the lower end models.

The Xbox 360 is viewed as a $200 console. Unless the price goes down from there, a drop in the pro or elite model means absolutely nothing. It may help a little bit for a week to a month, but compared to the ps3 going down to $299.99, it's a no show.
It's a pretty good strategy to battle the PS3 @ $299. But they could've canceled the Arcade and made the Pro $199 and Elite $299. The arcade version sucks :/.

Uh that was the price of the systems as of most of 2008. the Xbox 360 Pro was $350 and the lowest end PS3 was $400, Sony made little progress in the US that year, the the 360 dropped a mere $50 off its price and boom, the PS3 was completely wiped out.

an elite is just a pro with 120gig HD nothing more.
i predict the price of elite to drop but it wont be a major drop or anything.

For me, during the holidays, ARCADE was just the main reason explaining the Xbox360 success last year
I hope ninty will drop the Wii price to kill the arcade !
