Ebgames australia has soldout of PS3's at almost everystore. So I emailed them asking "when will you be getting more stock of the PS3". They replied by saying "at the end of august" which is after that 3 hour long sony confrence. It also seems like too long if it was merely the normal PS3.

I know we all know the Slim is comming but this gives a time which i believe is for the slim.

Interesting. This adds more fuel to the PS3 slim rumors. It seems Games Com will be make or break for this rumor.

I stayed up till half 7 this morning, obviously this means that Sony will start selling the ps3slim.

Well I just got back from my local EBgames store and I heard the lady on the counter talking to this guy saying a new model of ps3 is soon to stock so yeh Im fairly sure ps3 slim is there.

man I need the Sony rep to come into WalMart soon...

I believe the PS3 Slim will arrive around late August/early September but it does not mean it will be sold at a heavily reduced price. It could sell at the same price as the old PS3 models at $399 plus a game or two bundled in. Maybe a $50 price cut to $349 but $299 price tag is highly unlikely. Sony want to make money they can not afford to take heavy losses on PS3 hardware.
Rememer - Sony is not Microsoft they do not have unlimited financial resources.
