Forums - Sony - Newer PS2 Slim Dependibility?

Sad for you indeed. I think the lens are still the same on newer versions. Like the manual says, pause after every 5hours and your next ps2 should not have any probs.

Wait I'm not suppose to play for more then 5 hours? Since I was play SoTC for about 6-7 hours straight...

Former something....

I should be careful with this...

Well that's what the manual says, but who listens to manuals anyway?

I was playing DQ VIII for like 4 hours but then it went on to 9-12 hours eventually X_X

I will be doing that when I figure out which of the 7 JRPGS to strart first...

Condoms are needed for safe sex,but who listens to people anyway? =p

The above sentence was a joke and some sort of metaphor. Just to say that it's risky to play more than 6 hours, like the manual says.

Yeah, since I play long-ass JRPGs mainly I play in big doses and something like this is problematic... X_X 5 hours is a lot to most people but not so much for me...

*sigh*

PLay for 5 hours then give it like 10-20mins to cool down. Then get your dose of JRPG's again.

Well i just got my Re-bought my 3rd silver PS2 this year,So far so good though the only thing i don't like the PS2 slims are that they are too flimsy.

The slimmer version is prone to over heating. That's what the sale clerk told me when I bought my PS2 slim. I always play for more than 6 hours hours especially JRPG because I lost track of time but luckily for me my PS2 is still doing fine.

I use to have a fat PS2 and I use to play it 10 hours at a time and it never gave me problems. Maybe you just got a defective one.
