I have some questions about the xbox360 million seller list:

 1) Why is GRAW listed twice?

2) Why isn't HexicHD listed as it is included with Premium and Elites?

3) Where is the Burger King games? This link http://www.appscout.com/2007/10/toyota_gets_its_game_onthe_xbo.php

says they sold 3.5mil copies of Sneak King.  No mention of Big Bumbin or Pocketbike racer.

Likely they all three should be on the list.

hmm--further investigation seems to be that it is 3.5mil total for all 3 which means means at LEAST 1 is a million seller--and likely 2 and perhaps all 3.

says they made 5million of the three games.  I think it is very safe to say all 3 were million sellers.

 So when will the list get fixed?

1. The second GRAW is obviously a typo as it only had data for NA.
2. This site has never tracked the burger king games. Question is should it? I say sure, but were these offered through retail or through burger king only? If BK only, then I don't think ioi has the ability to get reliable sales to consumer data.

I'm sure ioi will remove the 2nd GRAW asap now that it has been brought to his attention. Might be good if you PM him vs this open thread.

I see no problem with them being through BK only.  I would probably just go with 5mil/3--so 1.66mil each.  Those are pretty big numbers for games.  It puts them pretty high on the list.  I think it would be wrong to not include them.

Hmm -- the Wii only has 8 million sellers right now. Although I suspect the number will increase by 3-4 by the end of the year, at least. The Xbox 360 does have an impressive number of million sellers so far, but it also has been around for quite a while.

The problem with that is you're guessing at their sales total. This site does have a smidgen of a guess to make its counts, but, they are generally created through retail actuals and educated analysis.

Not simply ok so there were 20 million games sold last week and only 10 different games available, soo... each one sold 2m games. done. That is just stupid.

It would be better to count them like pokemon or something and just lump them together.

Also, even wikipedia has no sales data for the games.

You know--judging by the numbers, it would seem that taking 5mil and dividing by 3 and counting them separately would be more accurate than some of the other numbers posted.

Why would you lump together--they are 3 separate games, sold separately.

Even an astrisk by the title with "Estimate" at the bottom would be ok--but to leave them off totally seems wrong.

So what?  Have you seen Wikipedia's list of best selling games per platform?  It is woefully incomplete.

 I posted links that said 3.5mil sold, 5mil made.  Many reports of 2-2.5mil sold in 4 weeks after they went on sale.  Plenty of links stating over 3mil sold.  There is ample evidence of over 3mil sold.

There are a couple more mistakes like that on the DS list of million sellers with Tamagotchi Corner Shop and Pokemon Dungeon Blue both listed twice with different spellings.
