No, I've been living in reality. You're just looking at the world through rose-colored glasses.

I dont wear glasses, there is too much evidence of all three happening. Its just you and your damage control trying to take away from any good news Sony can have. So when all three of these do happen this year, what will be your reasons/excuses then?
If slim, price cut, GT 5, and FF XIII all come out this holiday, I can't see how they couldn't win...

Look at what the competition has done to game quality lately. Come on Sony, get healthy! Edit: Though I think that the posters of these threads should try to speculate about what the other manufacturers might do either in response to Sony's actions or to get in ahead of Sony's actions. By just stating what Sony is doing, and declaring a win (whatever that might mean) they do themselves and the readers a bit of a disservice. And yes this would apply to any thread for any console, I've just seen a preponderance of these threads for Sony lately.

This.
Every time Sony makes a move, everyone assumes MS and Nintendo have absolutely nothing up their sleeves to counter it. (Well, let's be honest--Nintendo still doesn't really even NEED anything to counter, but MS does.)
This generation, MS has never failed to come back with a move of their own. Every time I have thought they didn't have a good lineup coming, they have announced good lineups (and usually released them when promised). Every time I have thought they didn't have any big announcements to trump Sony, they have. MS has just had better luck keeping things under wraps. Everyone always seems to know what Sony has up its sleeve at all times, and they suffer for it. It's like if you're at war and planning to attack a certain area and then the media puts it all over the news exactly where and when you're going to attack 3 days before it happens.
So......that being said, Forza 3 will be out soon, I'm sure a PS3 price cut will be matched by a 360 price cut, and I really don't think a slim model is going to be enough to save the PS3 on its own. So no, this is not an automatic PS3 victory this holiday season. And need I remind you that a) they haven't won one yet, b) the economy is still bad and people are still going to be looking at price this year, and c) tons of PS3 exclusives had once again been delayed until next year as well. Mom and Pop buying a console for their kids don't know about all the upcoming exclusives. They know what they see on the shelves RIGHT NOW. (Oh, and also......they really don't give a shit about the slim.)
@Vetteman94: I'll accept that I was wrong. But I highly doubt that I am.
no it wont win this holiday, why because 2 360 models will still be lower than it, if it gets its price cut. also the games are more or less equal. so games wont be a factor. japan and europe are the only 2 areas where i could see sony winning this holiday, but not a chance in hell in the states. because m$ has halo 3:odst and lfd2,forza 3, and i am sure other hits coming in the fall. also i am sure m$ could do a $30 price cut on all the systems to battle sony's . either way sony will do good if a price cut and slim happen, but wont make a huge turn-around or shift.
