It seems the letter S is on its way out and its spot being taken over by rival letter Z. Over the past few months/years we have seen a tremendous struggle by the letter S camp trying to keep their position as number one but recent events have seen Z take some of its marketshare.

Some examples: The name of this site VGChartz, Unisofts Petz series and now a news artice on this site using Z in the word Girlz.
