Players are already affordable what needs to be slashed is price of new movies.

agree - i just can't bring myself to spend $30+ on any movie not matter how good it is.  i've got a bunch of blu rays on my amazon shopping list just waiting for them to fall under that mystical $20 mark where i become willing to purchase a movie.

I've never seen it either.

Gran Torino was superb though, Tranformers 2 though is terrible. Avoid it.

1. Revenge of the Fallen Was Epic.

2. I'd get T2 just to see maykayla in all her HD goodness... Mmmmmm Yummy.

She's a babe, but the movie was messed up. One minute it was a serious and tense film, the next it went all childish with those stupid robots, and then it tried to be humerous with one of the enemy robots having big robot testicles.

Watch that review that I posted a link to, and tell me if you disagree.

Watched it in an Imax which was a scary experience in itself, film was alright nothing special. Not sure I would of lumped it alongside Gran Torino and Country for Old men but horses for courses I guess.

That's not a record. Iron Man had over 50% of its sales from the BluRay version.

I'm not surprised. I got this off N4G, it can be a bit inaccurate at times, especially concerning titles -_-

Nice to hear that Watchman set a record for Blu-Ray. Too bad Watchmen is an overrated piece of garbage movie.

Watchmen movie compared to other comix adaption is like watchmen comix to typical american mass produced comix.

Which means it's on totaly diffrent level.

Then again i guess if you went to the cinema thinking it will be typical: bang bang Kaboom hero gets the chick happy end type of comix movie you would be sorely disappointed.

No, I didn't go to theathers expecting Kaboom....I knew what the movie was about before hand, too me Watchmen was too drawn out by the predictable (I never read the graphic novels) end. I was like damn...that's not very interesting. Anywho I digress good for Blu-Ray.

Blu Ray to watch Blue penis is HD?

I can see the appeal for some...

Tease.

I dont see blu ray ever taking off...its just technology that came too late. Even the people that i know that own bluray players dont buy blurays and thats sad. Call me a hater if you like but I just dont see the point in paying $35 for a movie when I can buy the same thing on dvd for $20. And I know what you're going to say, "but bluray has 6x the picture quality n00b lolololol"; not if you have a tv under 40" buddy...

Don't take this as me being anti-bd, I'm just a smart consumer ;) when they stop making dvds then maybe I will consider getting a bd player.

What? Who buys Blurays for $35? There is also a sale in the first week or so on New Releases. They're usually priced at around $25.
