Anyone with a PC can have access to it as well. The problem with Microsoft is that their ambition goes far beyond the gaming industry.
|
So whats the problem? Pc's may one day use this same type of technology. Why should this even be a concern? This won't effect the X360 at all but it sure might help make Microsoft more profits which in turn might come back to us in the form of more X360 titles perhaps. So I can see nothing but good if all goes well.

Exactly. People who want to play with Natal can look further than the Xbox 360. They already have before. You're right, this is about profit, so who cares right?
|
So in other words this will have no affect on the current situation. People who already looked past the 360 for PC gaming will be the ones getting Natal on PC. People who prefer consoles will still get Natal on 360.
Looks like Natal is not devalued just as the 360 itself is not devalued. There are console players and there are PC players. There are even some who do both and still get a 360 over a PS3 or Wii.
And again, you are ignoring the main problem of Natal on PC that I've brought up 3 times now and you keep conveniently skipping over:
Also, sure this would work great for a media center PC, but how many people use their PC's for that? A small portion. An even smaller portion use it as a media center hub AND have it connected directly to their big living room TV. Most people on PC's sit within 2-5 ft of the screen, much too close for Natal to really be of any use as more than a webcam.....
