I saw the whale too, it was when I was just flying around near the island location. I was a bit far from it though so didn't see if it had the i point.

There's no i point on the whale, and I'm pretty sure it's impossible to get really close to it. But there is a group of boats called "Whale Watchers" or something like that, in the area where the whale appears most often.
