Yes, but I also said that most people find a job after 1-2 years using this system.
Yes, some people leech from this sytem, but the majority of the people do not. It's a good system, not a perfect one.

But you then also said
"You've never been to the French speaking part of Belgium have you?
You'd have to teach them the word work first."
| Samus Aran said: Then why is the economy of the USA such a mess compared to the one from Belgium? |
You are very young, that's why u lack perspective. You shouldn't be involved in this discussion with your lack of knowledge on the subject.
Belgium is infamous even in social-democratic Sweden for being an even more socialist ruled country than us, having a messed up and rotten economy for decades, with a huge state budget deficit and government debt (~80% of GDP) and chronical mass unemployment.
USA on the other hand is going through a temporary economical Crysis after showing record growth for over a decade. The US economy will recover quickly because it's a dynamic and fundamentally very strong economy.
Yeah, those guys are lazy.
The Dutch speaking part is a lot bigger and that happens to be the part I live in.
There are about 6 million Dutch people in Belgium and 3 million french speaking people.

Lol, the debt from the US is ENORMOUS. We don't have a rotten economy. Congo has a rotten ecnomy if you really want to name a country with a rotten economy. If Belgium had such a rotten economy then why would it be in the top 10(or 20 now) countries to live in?
Ps: I've studied Economy(main course in case you don't know how our schools work here) in High school. Sure, I found it boring, but I do have some knowledge about economy.

You say that as if it's a good thing... |
Yeah... I thought he was sarcastic.

My friends dad used this for a year and if it wasn't for this system they would probably have been homeless...
But I guess saving 3 euros of your paycheck is more important then an appartment to a poor family right?
Yeah, I agree, this system is horrible.
Ps: My last line is sarcasm Kasz.

You don't need 900 Euros a month to survive, if you do, your country has two problems:
1) The cost of living is too high
2) The minimum wage is too low.
Uhm, tell your parents to only spend 900 euros a month.
My parents sure as hell wouldn't be able to do that. We spend like 400-500 euros alone on food a month.
Then we still need to pay the electricity, water bills, taxes, paying back the loans from our house(Almost no one can buy a house without lending money from a bank)

I meant "one of two problems", so your minimum wage is too low.
And most of those would be subsidised/completely paid for if you're unemployed.
