I hope the Treehouse updates just enough for it to both be relevant to our culture and not seem like everyone is ordering you to do stuff, rather than just suggesting you do it... The Rival character should simply have his speech text updated for clarity, as opposed to a full-on overhaul of his dialogue (or monologue depending on how you see speech text in the Pokemon games), as his character was so deliciously conflicted before and that doesn't need to change. As for the "mom" character, they just need to re-do that stuff completely in my opinion... She was annoying!

At the end of the day I just hope they don't try to do too much to this game as the original was the best Pokemon game in the history of ever... I've been waiting SIX YEARS for this remake (I'd say longer but I've only been waiting since they released FireRed/LeafGreen in the 3rd-gen, which were remakes of the 1st-gen. Pokemon games in and of themselves) and I don't want it to leave the kind of taste in my mouth that is comparable to a Passho Berry (Bitter and Dry if you're wondering).

So I want to hear from you guys! What are your opinions on the matter? You guys know the rules; I won't repeat them... Please discuss amongst yourselves, and feedback on my opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

@ Xxain: I don't think they're going to change too much of the plot or difficulty levels... Except if it is for the sake of accessibility... But then, by the time most players would even start the post-game scenario the player is pretty thoroughly immersed in the game world and accessibility would no longer be an issue, so don't worry about that, OK?

What part do I need to explain better? I am just expressing legitimate concerns associated with the localization of a remake of one of the best games in the history of ever... Or do you simply want me to explain what "localization" is? For those among us who don't know, localization is the process by which media from foreign countries gets translated and repackaged so that someone from another country could make better sense of it than by merely translating it. The reason why I'm concerned about how the NOA Treehouse is going to go about localizing Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver is because I'm concerned that we'll lose what made some of the original games' major characters so brilliant, while failing to correct some of the things that weren't very enjoyable about Pokemon Gold/Silver (the original games upon which HG/SS were based).
