Forums - PC - What games?

OK so I've started to see some games that I want coming out to the PC lately, will deffo be buying StarcraftII this year others not sure yet if they'll bite my appetite.

So what good games can I get?

Used to play Age Of Empires III a lot and loved it (was my first and only online gaming experience on the PC and I did pretty well considering I was a total noob when I started)

Don't really want a racer or a sports game really, a good RTS would be nice, I enjoyed Bioshock on the PC and ended up getting it on my PS3 but I want to stay away from (hardcore) online shooting games.

Spec ain't a problem, installing Left4Dead as I speak to see what's the fuss all about :D

I suppose you don't want online shooting games because you think you'll be hooked to L4D, right?

until monday there's a great Dawn of War II deal, for $24.99 on Steam. They are also selling the whole Dawn of War 1 pack for $14.99. If that ain't enough there's a Company of Heroes deal too, you should check Steam itself, because there's also a deal for both Dawn of War 1 and Company of Heroes.

I'd say that's enough for RTS's, but there's Sins of a Solar Empire too (check http://www.impulsedriven.com). For "grand strategy", you could check East India Company (just released), Hearts of Iron 3 (coming next week), Empire: Total War and the ever classic Civilization IV (with the Beyond The Sword expansion and its mods, there's no mistake). If you like some space stuff, there's Sword of the Stars.

I could go on, but I think the ones I listed are OK.

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

Yeah I've started to play COD quite a lot now, just don't want to be hooked on another game as well!

L4D - Very good so far, just I don't really like the controls; I guess I've become used to the controler? Also think it might be there's no feedback like vibration when shooting, I notice this on my Sixaxis vs DS3.

Just read "ameratsu"'s review on L4D and will agree that the single player to me was a bit boring but haven't tried coop so might be able to salvage my opinion on the game ;]
The zombies are so flippin fast!!

Can't go wrong with Homeworld, Homeworld Cataclysm (expansion pack), and Homeworld 2 for RTS games.

Another fun RTS series I've enjoyed is the Total War series.

COD is a strong option.

If you like RTSes then Company of Heroes and Dawn of War I&II are must have. Through you should look for bargain bin deals on DoW II as it a bit short for full price game.

Time to Work !

If you want any kind of shooters/FPS games, then it's mandatory to at least try the System Shock series, the Deus Ex series and the Thief games.

I think there is a sale on Relic games going on. Should check those out.
