This story went stupid fast and turned into a really poor excuse for people to bash whoever they felt like bashing like these things always do.  But what struck me, and what I'd like to highlight are the two actions by the men at the heart of this issue that show they are both men of class and dignity.

Crowley:

Despite the disagreement, Crowley helps Gates, who walks with the aid of a cane, down the White House steps.  He doesn't have to do this even if they are good friends, but he does it and it shows class.

For Gates I don't have a picture but reports have gone around now on multiple sources that he sent flowers and a note to Lucia Whalen, the woman who dialed 911 and has since recieved death threats.  Again he doesn't have to do this at all but it shows class that he thought of her and is genuinely sorry the troubles that have befallen her...and he does so while he could easily be slumped over about his own set of problems from the ordeal and even blame her for them if he wanted to.  Again this is called class and from both men deserves to be highlighted.

Now for the love of whatever it is that people hold dear can we get over the race-baiting, obam-bashing, BS and get back to the real issues?

As for what its about its been all over the news, if you don't know I'd say be happy. But if you want to know you can search for either of those names and find thousands of news results in google.

I have not heard/seen any indication that Officer Crowley struck Mr. Gates - do you have a source for this or is it just something you heard?

We have heard a lot from this story, but one thing has been completely left out.

What exactly did Professor Gates say to Officer Crowley?

Funny how no news outlets are telling us that. This was a huge story until everyone realized it was Gates who was in the wrong. Once it was discovered that the black guy was at fault, the media is doing it's best to shut this story down.
