people need to realise that it is the customer that decides how long a product will last, not the company!
What makes you so sure that the PS3 will last 10 years and the Xbox360 just 6?! The technical differences are very small, both have some awesome looking games in their library and will continue to get those as time passes by. The only difference is the BluRay-Disc, but this won't be a selling point in the future. Or do you think the DVD was a selling point for the PS2 in the past 4 years?
With Natal, I actually can see the Xbox360 match the sales it has this year in 2010 (11 - 12 million), but this is just a wild guess.
It is true that GT5 will move hardware, but will it be sustainable or just a push for 2 months? And don't list games like Heavy Rain please. I know it looks good, but it won't move hardware at all. InFamous looked good as well, but it did not much on the hardware-side.
