| zaMy said: The PS3- 360 gap is less then 6 million consoles.. In a recent report someone here posted that Micrsoft has SHIPPED 30 million units. That meens that there are about 29 million sold. 24 million PS3's just about sold would meen theres a 5 million gap! Who knew PS3 would start catching up this fast? |
Lol oh wow!
Haha no way, ms is keeping that gap for at most another 2 years.

Why do we care that this is shipped numbers? That's not really the point. The point being, that a trend is emerging. Marketshare is changing, not really substantially, but its interesting nonetheless.
I'm thinking the retailers are usually smart enough to estimate demand at their own outlet, especially with the utterly predictable weekly sell-through numbers we see here on this site. Matching shipped to sell-through is the job of many highly paid retail professionals. Have some faith in other humans' ability to run their businesses.
What were the shipment numbers for the previous quarter?
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
Thats because it seems MS are drying out the supply line. Maybe a new hardware revision?

lol...yes i think i see this trend you speak of. x360 has been spanking ps3 all year in sales and it's going to be like that for the rest of the gen. so glad we agree on that.

Even the smallest positive news for Sony means they will destroy everything in their path to a Sony fanboy.
Its amazing that in the others chart the 360 is only ahead by 1.5 mill or so. Ps3 at the current price point seems ok. Can you imagine what it will be like once the price point has changed. I think the fact that the 360 will faulter at any time is in the back of every gamer or possibly every gamer is a factor. Of course ps3 is getting some nice titles out also.
