Yea but that's not saying too much haha.
However given these numbers, it just shows how poor of a quarter this has been. Everyone down from last year in the same quarter. Only MS's drop is really small while Sony's and Nintendo's are quite large.
But with that, it seems like Nintendo Wii is the only one we have been tracking spot on if not a little bit under. Here's our sales at the end of June 27, 2009:
Wii- 50.81
360- 31.00
PS3- 22.63
We adjusted 360 already once but that still puts it very very close to shipments. Same for the PS3 too which with the shipments just out is possibly over tracked as well. I mean we showed sales that had them holding up during tough times but shipments do not represent that. I expect adjustments on both. Really with PS3 we show a virtual sell out. 360 we show almost a sellout. Given these hard times, if they had a chance to ship more they would have so obviously it's a little over tracked. Wii is probably almost spot on but that's almost 2 million behind shipments. Probably a little bit of under tracking.
But yea on the shipment game its getting tighter right now. 360 and PS3 separated by 100,000 and Wii only a million or so higher than both. Next quarter will be interesting but could be just as slow.
