The problem for Britain is that if they joined the Euro now, all their prices would probably go up, resulting in instant pain among all consumers. There are probably tons of business segments which are still selling based on the old exchange rates.

Are these price hikes going into affect all over the world? or is it just the U.K.?

the way prices keep raising I'm surprised gaming still goes strong. if devs/publishers put prices this high they deserve to have their games pirated.

N64 games used to retail at £70, and that was worth more then £70 is now.

Activision is the root of evil and corruption in this industry. They are a cancerous tumor that needs to be cut for the host.

Yeh I believe the price of games should be reflective of how much they are actually worth.

THere are too many lame crappy games, that people would have otherwise bought if sold at a much lower cost, selling at the same high price of the good ones. Massive games like Metal Gear Solid and FF are definately worth the price.

carry on raising the price and i wont be buying it! i was excited for DJ Hero but thats like £90 in the UK. i will never pay that for it, same as when ROCK BAND came out it was soooo expensive here, now i can get it for £100...anyway yeh il be waiting before i pick up MW2 this christmas
