Like I said, if you use a normal controller thats fine. But don't call yourself a serious fighting game fan if your not using a stick. Let me know when someone wins EVO or even enters it without a stick.

Street Fighter 3S Finals had a pad player.

Somebody in the Super Turbo HD Remix was using a keyboard pad, basically with buttons in place of a stick. He got decently far.

Lots of Tekken/Soul Calibur IV players at Evo used pads instead of sticks - SCIV was won by a pad player.

And I'm sure last year when they had Brawl in the tournament that a majority of the players were using pads. Same goes for when they decided to host a Melee a few years back.

Buying an arcade stick doesn't automatically make you a better player or more dedicated to fighing games - there are plenty of players that are fairly/extremely competent on pads. Sticks are usually just more advantageous because of a better button layout and better precision with movements. Some people just can't seem to get the feel for a stick and stick with pad - it'll probably limit them to some degree but not more limiting than using something they are completely unfamiliar or uncomfortable with.

Also I remember some Fei Long was using a pad and beat this Gootecks guy once in a round and then everybody was saying Gootecks threw his stick around it was confusing and all a big lie.

Why are people tripping? Its 0.3 point difference...

Plus, the D-pad is better on PS3, so why shouldn't it get a higher score? Fighting games always work better with a D-pad.

Wow those fanboys!! The 360 D-pad is better imo.

Interesting note about 3S never read about that at all.

Melee wouldnt work too well with a stick anyways lol.

People that dont get use to a stick are either impatient or played with a pad all their life. Once I got used to using a stick it was a whole new ball game in terms of being able to pull off certain moves better (esp chargers) and of course SFIV has short cuts where I can spam Sagats uppercut a lot quicker then I could with a pad. I certainly dont miss blistering my thumbs on the PS1 pad playing Alpha 3.

It's just that simple.

Settle down over the score. It's just 3 fucking points.

Advantage for ps3 players because of ps3 d-pad?

I have welded my 360 D-pad to work perfectly.....................

Play SF type games for long enough on your 360 controller and you adapt.

Bring on the challengers.

All multiplat FPS games should have a lower score on ps3 then.

360 analog rules (unless you adapt)

We are comfortable with what is comfortable to us.

Would you guys read the review before talking about the injustice of scoring differently because of controllers? They never mentioned in the review, just as has been stated before.

This is stupid. people playing this seriously will have a arcade stick...or will find a way to use a Sega Saturn pad on a 360 like i did.

People having casual fun will mash buttons and won't care what controller they are playing with.

Thumbs down for review.
