Ah, but i have something to counter that arguement.

The Xbox sold more than the Gamecube.

This. Close the thread, no more should be said on the matter.

Let me show you why they call me the velour fog. Hit it.

I met her in a club down in old Soho,

Where you drink champagne and it tastes just like coca cola,

C-o-l-a, cola.

She, walked up to me and she asked me to dance,

I asked her her name and in a dark brown voice she said;

Leela, L-e-e-l-a, Leela, Lee, Lee, Lee, Leela

Leeeeeeeelaaaaaaaa

Threads don't close just because of a point you agree with. This thread hasn't degenerated into flaming.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

Never played KI Gold, though I've heard of it, of course, which is probably why I forgot it. If you like fighter games I can see why you'd prefer the GC; I don't recall too many for the N64 while the GC gets Soul Calibur II!

For your latter comment, are you now saying the GC wins simply by being less outdated?
(To respond directly, they may have aged but many are still "great" regardless of "for their time" considerations or nostalgia goggles. If we're talking about just your opinion, on the other hand, debate is obviously pointless.)

Well many of these games you consider "great" don't hold up very well.

Personally I think the adventure games and shooters were better on the Gamecube. And just about every other genre was stronger on the Gamecube. Its not just graphics a issue, its a different gen, the benchmark was raised, and it had much more 3rd party support.

I didn't say they ALL aged well. And I'd fight you on the 3rd party support claim (as well as the genre claim, although certainly the 64 was devoid of JRPGs) if I had time to do the research.  All I have at my fingertips are recollections about tons of bitching that the GC was "even worse" than the N64 in that respect.

Well I'm well aware of EVERYTHING the N64 has. If people really observed the library of both consoles, Gamecube is the clear winner.

I don't know why I'm even having this debate. Even the Saturn has several genres stronger than the N64 offers.

I'll give that. The N64 is a great system, but it's games were limited.
