Well it's possible to play PS1 and PS2 backups on a BC PS3, but thats about it.

They probably go over linux and the emulators for that as well.

If you are talking about hacking in terms of piracy, yes, you're right, nobody seem to have succeeded yet.

They did some pretty interesting stuff with ps3, though. Open Remote Play allows you to use Remote Play without PSP. Exploiting Folding @ Home allows you to download PSN content to your PC, and move them to your PS3 when you want to, etc...

Pretty handy, I think?
