I read the book in middle school (more like the teacher read it to us).
Pretty good, but not much movie potential. I'm guessing they added alot.

Tim Burton was not involved in the making of this movie, I think. It was made however by the director of both The Nightmare Before Christmas and James And The Giant Peach, which is reason enough for me to buy the blu-ray, since I love both movies. It'll be released here in October ;(
