1st between the DS Lite and the DSi... Go with the Lite for 2 reasons.
1. There are some GBA games that are well worth picking up(again??)
2. There are certain (From reports I've read on various sites) DS games that do not work on DSi.
Now as far as DS versus PSP...
To me DS has more games to choose from. The battery life is better and it charges faster. The graphics are somewhere between N64 and GBA though...
so pending on the game you pick up you may get something that looks like it would be from the 32-64 bit era... or you may get something that would have looked good on your SNES(Maybe)... or sometimes...(In the case on Tenchu Dark Secret for instance) You get this weird combination of the 2.
The PSP... has better graphics and some top notch games... The only downside is the battery life... and the fact that it takes longer to charge...
Controls: I'd lean a little more towards the PSP the buttons are bigger and while the Touchscreen on DS works well with some games with others.... you'll be cursing telling your character you wanted him to run not roll damn it. LOL
Games: This is sort of tough... it depends on what you like... if you like RPGS for instance both are good options... if you like sports and racing... or 3D heavy games... I would lean towards the PSP though.
Save Scheme: On PSP you have to have a memory stick... On DS... you use slots on the cartridges... It depends if you buy a PSP I would say buy one that comes with a mem stick so it's not an issue.
Boycotting the following:
1. Yoshi: He ate my car and spit out a toaster.
2. Igglybuff: Totally false advertisement. You can have as many as you like they don't buff nothing.
3. the Terms Hardcore/Softcore... We're talking Video Games. Not Porn.
4. The term Casual as relates to Gamers: We make them sound like outsider's that happen to play games. If that were the case they'd own a PS3.
5. Donuts.... Beacause I drink Beer...... and the biggest fan of Donuts hates Beer.
6. Boycotts: Their so lame.
