Forums - Nintendo - Wii Sports Resort. 6.5, 7.7 or 8.9? Do we agree?

IGN AU     6.5

IGN USA   7.7

IGN UK     8.9

Are we all agreed that IGN UK are closest to the true score?

Are we all agreed that if game reviews are a reflection of it's populace then Australians are retarded?

Are we all agreed that any reviewer that uses the word 'wagglefest' in the same sentence as swordplay should be ridiculed?

7.7

Wii Sports Resort hasn't come out in America yet, and only just came out in Europe today. Even then, most Europeans have only played the game for a couple of hours at best. So then, why do you have the position to discredit their reviews? Saying that the highest score, and most likely the one that agrees with you the most, is the best score is pretty fanboyish.

IGN's need to agree on a score. 3 scores that are that readically different should be discussed.

This is exactly why Wii games have low scores on metacritic.

I've been playing for over a week. If you can find me someone in the next couple of weeks who can seriously give this game a 6.5, then we'll talk. Anyone who calls swordplay a 'wagglefest' is an idiot.

The game deserves higher than an 8.9 in my opinion.

Any other questions?

I'm confused as to how that's possible. If you could explain to me how you've had the game for over a week, I would love to hear it. And you want me to find someone who will give this a 6.5? Reviewer, some random forum member...can it really be anyone? If so, this will be easy. The reason he calls swordplay a wagglefest is that he truly believes it's just nothing but waggling. Maybe he doesn't see it as intuitive. I don't know, haven't played the game.

Any more snappy lines to end posts?

I downloaded it over a week ago, Amazon delivered it with my second motion plus this morning.

You're confusing the intuitiveness and accessability of Wii Sports with the 1:1 control of Wii Sports Resort. This game doesn't let you waggle, or doesn't let you win past the basic stages at least.

Like you said, you haven't played it so maybe you should come back when you have. (Snappy enough?)

I dunno. Maybe the blokes at IGN AU were holding their Wiimotes upside down?
