Forums - General - Why am I forced to watch a movie pirating ad when I buy half my DVD's

I can't even skip past them on most of the DVD's. I bought your product! Do I have to illegally download these movies to skip through this? Give me a break.

How do you acquire the other half of your DVDs?

well, maybe he is old fashioned and just steals the DVD from the store.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I buy them; you didn't read the title? The point is I buy their product, and I still have their commercial shoved down my throat.

Have you ever heard that the customer is always right. Show the company that did this to you that you are outraged by the practice. Pick up a telephone and call them. Don't write a letter, don't send them an email. Call them on a phone the number is probably toll free. Which means it is their dime. Calling them on the phone means they have to pay someone to deal with you. Enough people give them hell about it, or threaten to boycott their goods, and they will stop it pretty quickly. Go get your pound of flesh. Bitching about it here will not get you anything.

Bitching to them over the phone might get you some recompense. They will usually apologize, and send you a trinket to smooth over hard feelings. Why well it makes them look better to the public.

"...when I buy half my DVD's"

^ Maybe that's why?

It's diverging from the point. If I purchase a product, I should not be forced to watch an ad that doesn't allow me to skip it.

True statement. Although really, they only last seconds and then you're on your merry way. Not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things.

Just get a DVD player that can skip those scenes and go straight to the menu at a press of a button.. I did.. Saved me days of my life..
