Anyone playing it? Only played a tiny bit last night but damn...game is very different, I love the new ships, new visuals and I can see Eliminator being a hit on the online races. Detanator is a bit meh but has its plus points.

I'm still annoyed by the recent 2.0 Update. I don't like the new layout in campaign, I can hardly read what I'm competing in (Yes I don't have a HD tv for my PS3, I like gaming not HD). And the 'gold' medal I won (which I'd already beaten in Silver but the update from ages ago where they basically jsut made it easier...wimps), anyway the medal didn't have an logo on it, it was just like a medal disc....this weirded me out a little.

yeah the black screen is impossibly hard to read on a SD tv x_x there should be an option to choose which you want.

Also forgot to ask, why haven't sony asked Studio Liverpool to make better visualisers for the ps3 music player? Detenator because 10x more with custom soundtrack, I love how the entire track dances to whatever song you play, it's amazing!!

Playing it, loving it. The expansion is huge, as in new modes and levels, it nearly doubles the size of the game. I agree Detonator is the weaker of the modes, but Eliminator is just off the chain. I really can't express how awesome Wipeout HD: Fury is, the English language just doesn't have a word to describe it. Seriously people, put down Battlefield 1943, and get this game.

The Fury, not having a logo on the medal means its in novice mode, which is yeah, easier. To get back to the old difficulty you need to bump it up to expert, and then your medal will look like it used to. They introduced the level system because n00bs would suck and then blame the game for their own incompetence, and never experience the sheer awesomeness of Wipeout.

I haven't bough it yet so does it give new trophies ?

13 in total and they seem to be= in difficulty as the originals though there seem to be a couple of getables but I need more time with the game.

That explains a lot. When I installed the 2.0 Update my controls had also changed, I have R1 and L1 as air brakes but the controlsset it as R2 and L2. So in other words it changed my difficulty back as well. Should have noticed that, mean's I've got to do those races again.

I remember the first update of that, I got silvers that were better then the gold time. It seemed a bit of a joke to me. Stupid amateurs.

Still can't read it though, I mean for campaign 8 it's like a browny grey background with pale blue text, that's hard to read even if it was a larger font but it isn't, it's tiny.

That's still only 20 pounds total which means it's cheaper than most of retail games. Considering even Wipeout hd had a content to rival full retail game and new one ads a lot it still makes for one of better deals.

It crashes every time I complete a speed lap event.

Looks like my save file was the cause.

Time to start from scratch...
