FFIX is soooo underrated i love that game to death it's better than FFVII.

Vivi doesn't die, he is an original... whatever he is lol... the other were 'born from the mist' so that is why they stopped. He had kids in the end but i think he was a-sexual and merely split into the Vivi's we seen at the end! Madness lol

lol yeah I noticed that the second go-around. It's a shame, but it makes sense that he would die with the rest of his kind.

Damn it... Now I'm going to have to finish playing through it. I started back up a few months ago and got to the fourth disk before I took a break.

I was having so much fun getting a lot of experience and tons of money by fighting those stone things that summon a mirror image of a character since they don't require much effort once you're at least immune to the stone attack.

Vivi was in the end..he has a bunch of little Vivis following him to the ceremony thing

I'm 21 now too and this was the first RPG I ever played and completed. I've been hooked on the genre ever since. I absolutely adored it, but it's been so long since I've picked it up that I just can't remember how good it was. Sorry to derail the thread, but I'm curious, how well do you think it holds up today? I bought FFVII on the PSN and played it for a couple of hours, but I haven't been able to get back into that game at all.

no. u see a "vivi" look alike with a ticket for the play just like in the beginning of the game. Prince Puck runs into him and tries talkin to him thinking its Vivi. the look alike then goes "im not vivi, im vivis son!" then 4 more vivis (his other kids) come running after him.

graphically it hasnt held up well, but if you loved it initially you will love it again. i forgot a lot of the plot and it was like i learned it all over again. it was a very nostalgic playthrough and i highly reccomend you play it again. i also forgot how goddamn awesome the ending is, so PLAY IT! :)
