It was one of my first PS3 games but I haven't beaten it yet. It was fun on short bursts but it got old. AC2 looks to be much better though.

Yeah, I was sad when I played AC. I thought it would be so much better. So far this is the lamest PS3 game I've owned.

yea but i think AC2 will be good because u can do alot more stuff

Is it still about someone being in a lab and remembering when someone he never met did stuff? If so, it's still lame.

I am really sad that Ubisoft messed up Assassin's Creed because while it's a great game, it had the potential to become a masterpiece and the second best game of this gen (Oblivion being the king of course).

The setting and the atmosphere is so epic. It deserved to have better gameplay mechanics and more variation, and be a 93% game instead of a 86% game. Especially since it was open world/sandbox too, which is the best game architecture a game can have! :/

But, no reason to be sad. Luckily it's a trilogy, and Im sure Ubisoft learned their lesson. Assassin's Creed II looks simply incredible and will be GOTY 2009 and a 10 million seller.

The only problem I had with AC was the repetitive missions. But it was still fun. I'll give it a 8/10

I personally agree. The graphics are good and the gameplay is initially fun, but it gets extremely repetitive and boring very quickly. I thought this was a much worse game than everyone gave it credit for, personally.

That said, because the gameplay's initial value was high, I'll definitely try AC2. I hope they do something to stop it from becoming repetitive.

i am currently playing assassins creed, the game is too repetitive, do the first assassination then repeat the same thing 10 times, but somehow i am enjoying the game, i just love going around the city and saving people and climbing the towers.

In the game's platforming defense, I wouldn't want to be jamming on a button to make every single jump so holding a button to move through the environment is nice.

Arguably my biggest disappointment of 2007.

For a game that should have been perfect for me, along with the insane production values, it was a game I genuinely wanted to like. But the initial twist so you're not actually playing the character, but accessing generational memories of a distant ancestor, the fairly clumsy combat system, the repetitive gameplay, etc. all amounted to a gaming experience that felt like a real chore to play through. Couldn't get into it, despite wanting to follow the plot to the end.

I still want to finish this game, but every time I start, I'm reminded of just how much fun the game isn't for me to play.

Unless AC2 is confirmed to change the gamebreaking issues I had with the original, I won't bother picking it up until it's a Best Hits/Platinum title.
