So i was in best buy on the week of the sunday the 5th and saw the Sony Bravia KDl-46xbr on sale and usually the tv is 4000 a very hefty price tag for a 46" tv but worth every penny of it for the price tag. At first i thought it was a typo the price on it was 2699.99 still pretty expensive but thats a price i could deal with. So i go over and ask an associate if the price was correct and he told me to wait a moment so he could verify it and low and behold 10 minutes he comes back and says it is indeed that price they were out of stock but if i was interested they could order one the chicago warehouse and have it there within a week. After hearing that i went home figured out some numbers and came back. I sold my kdl-40xbr4 to my parents and ordered it.
I have owned several xbr's in the past i just a picture nut and love the sony xbr's. I have had the tv going on two weeks now and i am completly in love with it. It by far has the absolute best color of any tv i have ever seen. I used to think that my sony hd picture held the crown but not anymore, this lcd is almost perfect. Call of duty 4 and metal gear solid were breath taking. Not only that when i watched csi miami i almost shit in my pants the color is mezmorizing the particular episode was rather boring but i just couldn't pull my self turn the channel. Call me crazy but i don't even know if i will be buying a oled when they come out. This tv has trilumunus lighting for anyone who is not familiar with the xbr8. This is the technology that was used the qualia line that sony made a few years back. It has 128 individual red blue and green led's behind it that can locally dim and shut off to give it a true 1,000.000/1 contrast ratio and have the best color reproduction of any lcd. If wish to check out the cnet the review they did the 55". I will post the link.
I was woundering if anyone out there on this site is like me and go crazy over this stuff to, aso i any one else has seen this tv or owns it. I at work and its slow feel free to let me know if your into tv's to.
