Forums - Gaming - I miss boss battles!

Hey guys.

I have a 360 and wii, and I was wondering if you folks could recommend some games with some sweet boss battles.

It seems like lately I have only been buying first person shooters.  Anyway, I like boss battles that make the player feel tough.                                     And I don't want to fight any men in space suits either!

I like bosses that are monstrous. a little more ganondorf and a little less master chief. Basically some bosses that actually had some thought put into their creation. Not the same generic "fight the hunters with the fuel rod launchers" that I'm used to.

probably my favorite boss battle of all time would have had to have been any of the bosses from metroid prime 3.

Anyway, thanks for your help!

Hmm... I can see where you're coming from, a good boss battle can do wonders for you.

Not sure what I can recommend, really ... Ninja Gaiden II has some brutal boss battles, Super Mario Galaxy has some pretty fun ones (not Bowser though, really). Try either of those out.

What about Devil May Cry 4?

I rented it and got to the part with those floor fish things.

It was pretty hard to hit them because of the controls if I remember right.

Is it still worth getting because I may have not looked at the FAQ early enough?

Stay away from Conduit if you really dig bosses. The game has none :(

Try Zelda TP, GoW looks like it has neat bosses. Oh, and No More Heroes.

I just beat DMC 4, not nearly as fun as the previous 3.

For those fish, lock on and shoot them with your gun ([]) and they'll slow down enough for you to hit them with a stinger attack.

Good boss fights can be found on the Wii in Okami, No More Heroes, MadWorld, and Resident Evil 4. Punch-Out!! is kinda like a big series of boss fights, especially once you unlock title defense mode.

Devil may cry 4 has a lot of bosses, most of it very thought.
