Speaking at the Develop's Conference, Sony's Peter Edwards revealed that the return rate for PlayStation Home stands somewhere between 25-30 per cent, meaning that over 70 per cent of those who download and try the service do not return for a second time.
I have no idea if Sony is trying to put a positive spin on this ("More than one in four people who try Home become regular users!"). But considering it's free, that sounds like a lot of people aren't the least bit interested. Could it be that Sony's attempt to combine Facebook, avatars, and advertising in a 3D engine isn't a good idea?

This isn't very suprising to me... I would think that, for people that have come back a second time, the return rate therafter continues to drop off to zero (afterall, curiosity may pull someone back in after the beta to see if it's gotten any better, and, seeing that it hasn't, the person never gives it another chance).
So: why do you think Home is such a failure?
