Forums - Gaming - Holy Smoke...M.A.G just got delayed...what the heck is Sony doing?

Be sure to read the update from that link that says

Update: A Sony Computer Entertainment spokesperson said "We haven't made any announcements in regards to the launch date, the retailers are just speculating."

Gaming forums and blogs are nothing but people speculating and trying to pass it of as fact.

Honestly, M.A.G. is probably my least favorite PS3 exclusive coming up.

One thing that is undeniable, is the 360 has a competitive library with the PS3 this Xmas. Most would actually call it better, when you consider DLC like Shadow Complex, and Gay Tony(not even mentioning the lesser DLC like Splosion Man and maps for MW2), as well as a confirmed Splinter Cell, Forza, Halo, and L4D games which all looked great at E3.

I mean...you guys are really digging deep to bring up The Show and Demon's Souls...I mean really(However, Flower looks amazing).

Talking honestly about this, the savior of the PS3 this Xmas is obviously Uncharted 2. Without that game, the release list would be really lackluster. The 360 could lose any one of those games I've mentioned and still have quite a good release list.

What's amazing is the future lineup for the console(past 09) is also looking really competitive with the PS3.

Not bad for a console with nothing coming out only 2 months ago.

If Sony misses this holiday with GT5, they will drop the ball. It will diminish GT5's importance releasing it in March, instead of Xmas. Also, without it, the PS3 holiday lineup isn't very special TBH.

The 360 games might not be fully exclusive due to PC, but MS owns PC gaming as well, btw, and do you really need to own a 1000 dollar PC to negate MS's advantage over the PS3 in 09 Xmas? That sounds more like an argument one would make with ones-self when attempting to talk yourself out of buying an Xbox 360 with simple justifications, but failing miserably.

Fair enough?

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

You're right. The PS3 this christmas isnt looking too spectacular atm just like 360 wasn't looking too appealing at the beginning of '09 in the games category. This holiday, the 360 has it and GT5 doesn't even have a release date as of now. It's probably going to slip into 2010.

Only game I can really see being the gem for PS3 this holiday season is uncharted 2.

Frankly a delay is good if it means the game ships lag free. Multiplayer like this is a pretty hard beast and if anything goes wrong Sony will be in deep shit. Be glad they are taking the time to make sure everything is done right. The PS3 doesn't need anymore black eyes and if MAG does really well it could be a compelling reason to pick up a PS3 for the 360 crowd. On the other hand if the multiplayer battles are laggy or glitchy....

don't know why people would care about delays on PS3, it's pretty much the norm by now, it's more impressive when something is not delayed imo.

I'm just used to it, it's bad for PS3 only owners though, it's not like multiplat owners will run out of things to play anytime soon.
